La Muchacha de Servicio begins with a phrase. A phrase that someone in power said in public, that many believe cost them an election, and that condenses in a few words a way of seeing the world.
From there we built a fiction that doesn't pretend to be a documentary, but doesn't lie either. The story is anchored in dialogue — in what the characters say and, above all, in what they don't dare to say — because reality isn't always in events, but in language. In how things are named. In how what matters is silenced.
